The Louisiana Academic Team hosted a conference match against Highland on February 25th. The Junior Varsity team was a little hesitant in their first match and lost 80 to 240. Mason Haddock was the team’s high scorer with 30 points. Bryan Grant and Chayse Hepler also contributed with 10 points each and the team scored 30 Bonus points together. The Varsity team played well in a very exciting match that ended with a Louisiana victory 220 to 210. Zach Reever was the top scorer with 120 points, followed by Lloyd Cunningham with 20 points, and Sam Pedersen, Jesús Ramos, and Sydney Bronson with 10 points each. The team also worked together to gain 50 points in Bonus questions. The team’s next match is February 27th at Palmyra.
