The LHS Quiz Bowl teams traveled to South Shelby last night for Week 4 of the CCC dual matches. The Junior Varsity score was Louisiana 100, South Shelby 150. Sophomore Bryan Grant again led the scoring for the Bulldogs with 4 correct tossups. Carolina Taylor answered 2 tossups and Katelyn Watts and Marcelino Gutierrez answered one a piece. The team scored 20 points in bonus questions.
The Varsity team scored 180 to South Shelby’s 310. Mason Haddock led the scoring with 5 tossups, following by Jesús Ramos with 4 and Lloyd Cunningham with 1. The team scored 80 points in the bonus rounds. Next week the team has a bye so the Quiz Bowlers will be in action again on February 26 when they travel to Palmyra for Week 6 of conference play.
