The Louisiana Bulldogs squared up against the visiting Van-Far Indians last night at Cunningham Field.  In the first half, the Bulldogs came out as a completely different team than the 4-1 dogs we have seen this season.  With a few players in different positions the offense struggled to move the ball down the field with any sort of consistency.  The defense played well at times filling their gaps and maintaining good coverage, but struggled to make tackles on the first and sometimes second chances.   With a first half score of 0-30 in Van-Far’s favor, the dogs came out of halftime with a chip on their shoulder.  Defensively, Louisiana picked it up.  They forced 2 turnovers and didn’t allow another score the rest of the night.  The dogs also saw some success on the offensive side by moving down field on several short passes and runs.  However, an untimely mistake in Van-Far territory saw an Indian scoop up a loose fumble for a touchdown for the only score of the half, 0-38.  Next Monday the Bulldogs will travel to Mexico where they will play MMA at 6pm.
