The Louisiana Lady Bulldogs traveled to Palmyra on Tuesday September 2^nd for their first conference game of the season against the Palmyra Lady Panthers.  The game started off well for Louisiana, with 2 of the first three batters reaching base in the top of the 1^st.  Unfortunately, Louisiana couldn’t get these runs in.  The game was scoreless  until an error in the bottom of  the 2^nd  plated two Palmyra runs.  The Lady Panthers would score 2 more times in the 3^rd and added one additional run in the 5^th to make the score 5-0.  The Lady Dawgs were able to match Palmyra on the evening for hits, with each team getting 4 hits on the night.  The difference in the game was 5 errors for Louisiana which allowed 4 unearned runs to cross the plate for Palmyra.  Kaitlyn VanHooser pitched for Louisiana, giving up 1 earned run in 6 innings of work.  She struck out 1, walked 4, and scattered 4 hits.  Kaitlyn also led the team at the plate going 2-3 with a double and single.  The Lady Bulldogs will look to rebound on Thursday September 4^th as conference rival Centralia comes to Wallace Memorial Park.
