The Louisiana Lady Bulldogs traveled to Monroe City on Tuesday September 30^th for a CCC matchup with the Monroe City Lady Panthers.  The Lady Dawgs would win by a final of 3-1 thanks in part to a great pitching performance from Kaitlyn VanHooser.  Kaitlyn pitched 7 innings, striking out 10, walking 2 and allowing no earned runs.  Kaitlyn also paced the Bulldogs at the plate going 2-3 with 1 RBI on the evening.  The game went 4 complete innings with no score until Louisiana would get a run across in the top of the 5^th on a throwing error to 1^st.  Monroe City would answer with a run of their own in the bottom of the 5^th to tie the game back up.  The Lady Dawgs would then add 2 more in the top of the 6^th for a 3-1 lead.  After that, the defense would shut down Monroe City for the final 6 outs and the CCC win.  Louisiana now stands at 3-4 in conference play and 11-10 overall on the season.  The next game for the Lady Bulldogs will be on Thursday October 2^nd as they host Brookfield in the final conference game of the season.  Thursday will also be senior night for Louisiana.  JV game time is 5 PM with senior night activities to be held in between JV and Varsity action.
