The Louisiana Middle School Track and Field team competed in the first annual Winfield Middle School Medal Meet on Thursday, April 2nd. Nineteen Bulldogs took home medals from the meet. In the girls' division medals were earned in Shot Put (Portia Hartwick and Abby Moore), Discus (Michelle Watts and Danielle Bland), Long Jump (Taylee Chatman), Triple Jump (Kamara Combs), 100 Meter Low Hurdles (Kamara Combs), 4x200 Meter Relay (Mechia Campbell, Taylee Chatman, Kamara Combs, and Faith Rule), 1600 Meter Run (Marin Powers), and the 4x100 Meter Relay (Danielle Bland, Mechia Campbell, Taylee Chatman, and Faith Rule). The boys earned medals in Shot Put (Jonathan "Bear" Bryant), Long Jump (Cameron Henderson), 100 Meter High Hurdles (Cody Love), 100 Meter Dash (Devin Cropp), 1600 Meter Relay (Tyler Pedersen), 4x100 Meter Relay (Brock Bennett, Devin Cropp, Kellen Dewey, and Darrion Gonzalez), 800 Meter Dash (Blain Crigger), 200 Meter Dash (Devin Cropp), and the 4x400 Meter Relay (Blain Crigger, Kellen Dewey, Cameron Henderson, and Cody Love). Gold Medalists were Portia Hartwick (Shot Put) and Kamara Combs (Triple Jump).
