The Louisiana Lady Bulldogs took on the Brookfield Lady Bulldogs in a CCC senior night matchup on Monday October 6^th.  The game was close throughout.  Brookfield would score first in the top of the 3^rd.  Louisiana would answer with a run of their own in the bottom of the 4^th.  In the inning, Morgan Murry led off with a single.  Macie Crane would then pinch hit and draw a walk.  Samantha Pedersen would then lay down a sacrifice bunt.  Brookfield would overthrow the ball at first and Murry came in for the tying run.  That would be the end of the scoring until the bottom of the 7^th.  In the bottom of the 7^th Molly Ross would reach on an error by the Brookfield shortstop.  Samantha Henderson would then draw a walk to put two on with no outs.  Taylor Cunningham would reach first in the next at bat by an error on the pitcher resulting in loading the bases.  Kaitlyn VanHooser would then single to right for the walk-off game winning RBI.  Kaitlyn pitched all 7 innings for the Lady Dawgs.  She would allow 1 run over those 7 innings.  She struck out 7 and walked 1.  Brookfield would only manage 3 hits off of her all night.  At the plate, Louisiana was paced by Samantha Henderson’s 2-2 performance.  Samantha also drew 2 walks in her other at-bats.  The win closed the regular season for Louisiana with a record of 12-10.  Louisiana stands at 4-4 in the CCC for the year which ties them for 4^th with Palmyra and Brookfield.  The Lady Dawgs will return to action in the Class 2 District 4 tournament on Thursday evening.  They will play the winner of the Wright City-Lutheran game that is scheduled for Wednesday evening at Wallace park.
